Popular in the social services and civil service arena, Cassandra Mack serves as a seminar leader, keynote speaker and consultant, providing employees with professional development strategies and youth with tools for lifelong success. She has worked with organizations such as: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Daniel Memorial Institute, The Independent Living Resource Center, The Casey Foundation, The Archdiocese Drug Abuse Prevention Program, Covenant House, TIAA-Cref, Xerox, CSEA and the National Resource Center for Youth Services. Cassandra is the author of four books, “Young, Gifted and Doing It: 52 Power Moves for Teens,” “Smart Moves That Successful Youth Workers Make” and “Her Rite of Passage: How to Design and Deliver A Rites of Passage Program for African-American Girls and Young Women.” Cassandra’s fourth book, “Smart Moves That Successful Managers Make,” is scheduled to be released in December of 2003. Over the years Cassandra has appeared on Good Day New York, What Women Want and Voices from the Village. She was featured on WRKS FM’s Phenomenal Woman segment. She has written articles for The New York Beacon and BELLE magazine. Cassandra was born in Harlem, New York and grew up on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. She graduated from LaGuardia High School of the Arts. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Speech from Brooklyn College and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Hunter College.
