From Publishers Weekly
Blood, lust and loyalty are at the heart of this latest pulp offering
from Noire. At 18, Lamont Mason, aka Hood, rises up in the hierarchy of
the Brownsville, Brooklyn, drug trade, despite a tough childhood where
he and his younger brother, Moo, are cast off (at 11 and four,
respectively) by their crack-addicted mother. Hood forges a new family
with the corrupt barber Fat Daddy and his gorgeous, full-of-future-plans
daughter, Egypt, as well as with a fellow dealer, Dreko, whom Hood sees
as a brother, despite Dreko's own mother thinking he's a twisted demon.
When allegiances start to falter, big deals go down and the lure of the
drugs he sells begin taking over the lives of those close to him, Hood,
while constantly inventing rhymes that keep him sane, has to decide who
he can afford to love if he wants to survive. Behind Noire's
hyperrealistic graphic violence and raunchy sex are interwoven stories,
a strong plot and carefully drawn characters with classic motivations.
Noire is Dickens for the age of dojah, donuts and dawgs. (Aug.)

make it in a grown woman's world. A child turned out by the rulers of the game.
When you get thrown into a snakepit you better learn how to wiggle! It's all
about survival, baby. And not only did I learn the code of the streets, I made
my own damn rules and got paid in the process. So listen close, but watch your
pockets. I'm a Harlem girl. A scandalous chick. A ruthless mama. Me and this
city are just alike. Grimy. And we never, ever sleep...
It's a hard knock life for Saucy Sarita
Robinson and the rules of the game are clear: get yours or get had. When her
father gets popped in an armed robbery and her mother turns to drugs, Saucy is
left to scratch out a life for herself on the streets of Harlem, and this
city-slick vixen refuses to become a victim.
Young, hot, and hungry for the spotlight,
Saucy has a full package and uses her assets to get whatever she wants: 128th
Street has its own rules, and she knows them well. With sex as her weapon of
choice, Saucy hustles her way straight into the heart of the hip-hop underworld,
preying upon any man — or woman — who might help her get ahead. But Hott Saucy
just can't get enough. Her calculating nature and insatiable appetite for power
and prestige tempt her into dangerous waters, and before long she finds herself
in too deep. The shot callers of the hip-hop world have a few tricks for Saucy —

industry, never suspecting that her enemies will fight back...and fight back
hard.

"This is a damn good book!"
—Thumper, AALBC.com
"Have you ever wanted something so bad you was willing to crawl over bodies
to get it? I mean, fiend for it so hard it didn't matter who you hurt, how low
you had to scrape, it was gonna be yours? That's what music and balling did for
me. They were the fundamentals behind my rise . . . and the perpetrators of my
fall. They called me Harlem's black prince-a rising star who carried street
dreams on his back. But the streets, ya know. They got a way of coming for
theirs. A method of sneaking up on you when you ain't looking . . ."
Andre "Thug-A-Licious" Williams came up on Harlem's meanest streets. But
thanks to his nearly ankle-breaking hoop moves and explosive mic skills, he
makes it out-and dominates the rap scene with chart-topping urban hits.
Thug has sexed all the hottest freaks and has a slew of baby mamas to show
for it. But no matter how many women he takes to his bed, only one can claim his
heart: successful beauty salon owner Carmiesha "Lil Muddah" Vernoy, his
ride-or-die queen who has stuck by his side and guarded his back through thick
and thin.
But Thug also has a nightmarish history with someone else. Pimp Williams, his
older cousin and ex-partner in crime, is a cold-blooded killer who spreads havoc
all over Harlem and will stop at nothing to get what he wants-even if it means
betraying his own family, crushing Carmiesha, and forcing Harlem's black prince
down to his knees and back to his bloody beginnings.

"You all can't be as
shocked as I am that I read G-Spot: An Urban Erotic Tale by Noire. Well I
did and I have to say that I loved it! The novel read like a novel that Gary
Hardwick and Zane would write together. The novel is
about a young girl, Juicy, who gets caught up in The Life as the woman of
THE gangsta in Harlem named G. G has Juicy on LOCK DOWN on all facets of her
life. But, as you all know, alll good things MUST come to an end for G
because Juicy starts earning freedom, physically, emotionally, and sexually.
Pretty soon she's not able to stop herself, even though she's well aware of
the price she could pay, because even her poon poon belongs to G. Juicy
busted loose and all sorts of thangs goes to hell in an hand basket.
I was more than impressed with G-Spot because it is one of the first
"hip hop" novels that is written well, makes a semblance of sense, and walks
down the path that Iceberg Slim
and Donald Goines carved
out. I've been having Iceberg Slim on my mind lately because I'm still
reading Iceberg Slim: The Life as Art, which is deep--truly a fine work of
literary criticism on Slim's literary work. While G-Spot doesn't have the
same social significance that is in Iceberg Slim's works, its a fine
starting point to where "hip hop" fictional literature could go. If you are
one of the few who haven't heard of G-Spot, I recommend that you check it
out." —Thumper, AALBC.com
Have you ever rolled over in the middle of the night and realized you were
doing things you swore you'd never do? Sexing brothers you vowed you'd never
touch? Bending backwards and stooping lower than you ever thought you'd stoop?
Well if you can feel me even a little bit, then let me hit you with a story that
just might blow your mind. . . .
Nineteen-year-old Juicy Stanfield is the sexy young girlfriend of Granite
"G" McKay, owner of Harlem's notorious G-Spot Social Club. A drug dealer with a
lethal streak, he runs Harlem with an iron fist. But even the cash and the bling
can't keep Juicy from getting restless, and while G fulfills her every material
desire, she's burning up with unrequited sexual energy. To cheat on him would
mean a death sentence; so Juicy finds pleasure in secret ways: fantasizing on
crowded subways or allowing her eyes to hungrily take in the male dancers on the
club's ladies night.
But as Juicy's sexual cravings grow stronger, one thing becomes frighteningly
clear: She's a virtual prisoner in G's dangerous world. As G begins to suspect
her of playin' him, he pulls the reins he keeps on her even tighter. If she's
ever to escape and get a life of her own she must find a way to start stashing
away some of G's cash. But doing that under G's watchful eye is a challenge she
might not live up to- especially when her appetite tempts her with the deadliest
desire of all: G's very own son. . . .
