We’re taking the poetry from the page to the Stage. On June 12^th, BlackWords presents Grand Slammin: The finals of the BlackWords Poetry Slam. There will be panels on "Spoken Word and the New Black Poetry," Publishing Seminars, an Open Mic and the baddest poets on the East Coast going head to head for over $800 in cash, book & recording contracts and other prizes. The lineup:

9-12:30 p.m.:	Do The Write Thing: How To Publish your Book Seminar (Registration Required)
1-3 p.m.:	Panel: "Spoken World: What is the New Black Poetry and Where is it going?" (Free and open to the public)
4-6 p.m.:	Open Mic (Open to the public. Sign up onsite beginning at 12 noon)
8 p.m. until:	Grand Slammin’ (The Show Begins)
